SUBJECT: 2025 STEAM Fair Registration

STEAM Fair Registration and Information

The PTO is excited to partner with the Brown School to bring you the 2025 Brown School STEAM Fair. STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematic) activities can help kids develop a wide range of skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.  The STEAM Fair was introduced to students at the February community meeting and is open to all interested Brown School students. Participation is voluntary.

The STEAM Fair will be held on Thursday, March 27 from 6-7pm.

  • Participating students will bring their projects to school on the morning of the STEAM Fair, and have an opportunity to present to their classmates during the school day.

  • Participating students will set their projects up in the gymnasium during the school day. Students must be able to set up their materials independently, or with minimal adult assistance.

  • Brown School students will have an opportunity to visit the STEAM Fair during the school day on Thursday, March 27.

  • The STEAM Fair will be open to parents and community members from 6-7 p.m. on March 27. Judging will take place and participation awards will be handed out during this time.

Register Here

Students interested in participating in the STEAM Fair need to register here. Registration is open until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19.

  • Participating students need to provide a project title when registering.

  • No live animals at the STEAM Fair (presentations about animals are okay).

  • No chemicals, fire or explosions.

  • Please bring a towel or table cloth for presentations that involve liquids or other substances that may spill.

  • Students can include food in their projects, which can be made available to share during the fair and not during school hours.

  • It is preferred for projects not to require electrical power, as availability is limited.  Please inform in advance if access to an outlet will be required.

  • All presentations must fit into a tabletop space 3 feet long by 2 ½ feet deep.

  • The PTO will provide 24x36 tri-fold presentation boards for all STEAM Fair projects.  The boards will be sent home with all registered students on the Friday following their registration date, beginning on March 7.

Want to work with a partner? Go for it! Each partner must be individually registered for the STEAM Fair by a parent or guardian.

Have questions about what a STEAM Fair entails? Need help coming up with a project idea? Not sure where to start with your project? This presentation from Principal Maxfield has lots of useful information to get you started!
